My story
Hi! I’m Amanda, though most people call me Mandy.
I’m a Commonwealth-registered Marriage Celebrant based in Sydney, authorised to marry couples anywhere in Australia, and completely in love with the moments that make life worth celebrating.
I grew up in the Midlands of England as the daughter of a second-generation publican, which basically means I was raised around laughter, storytelling and community. From lively pub nights to family milestones, I learnt early that the best moments in life are the ones shared.
Before becoming a celebrant, I spent many years working in business across customer service, leadership and HR. Along the way, I studied Counselling and Communication and worked in career coaching and youth support, because I’ve always been drawn to understanding people and what matters most to them.
What does that mean for you?
It means I listen deeply.
I notice the little things.
And I create space for you to feel calm, confident and completely yourselves.
My ceremonies are relaxed, modern and heartfelt, with room for meaning, personality and a few good laughs along the way. I’m especially attuned to those pre-ceremony nerves, gently guiding things so the moment feels steady, warm and natural.
Outside of weddings, you’ll find me getting creative (often behind a sewing machine), practising my golf swing, or singing with my local choir - still finding my note, but always giving it a red-hot go.
