My story
Hi! I'm Amanda, a Commonwealth-Registered Marriage Celebrant based in Sydney, lover of stories, good company, and all the moments that make life worth celebrating.
Growing up as the daughter of a second-generation publican in the Midlands of England, I was surrounded by laughter, connection, and celebration. From lively pub nights to family milestones, it sparked my lifelong love of people and their big (and little) life moments.
Before stepping into celebrancy, I spent years in financial services across customer service, leadership, and HR, roles that taught me a lot about people, communication, and what matters most. That curiosity led me to study Counselling and Communication, and to support professionals as a career coach and young people as a counsellor. Whether in a boardroom or over a cup of tea ☕ (English Breakfast, of course), I’ve always been about listening, supporting, and helping people through life’s meaningful moments.
These days, I get to bring that same warmth and empathy to every ceremony I create, helping couples feel calm, connected, and completely themselves. I’m all about ceremonies that feel easy, modern, and full of heart (and yes, a few good laughs too).
Outside of weddings, you’ll find me getting creative, usually behind a sewing machine, practicing my golf swing, or singing my heart out with my local choir (still finding my note, but giving it a red-hot go 🎶).
